Both positions are tenure track and are initially limited to 7 years. Tenure is envisioned depending on a positive evaluation of the candidate and the successful establishment of a Master program in Health Sciences with specializations in Health Economics and Health Care Management and Health Behavior & Health Promotion. Furthermore the development of research programs funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) or the European Commission’s research framework is desirable.
The successful applicant is primarily expected to take a leading role in alcohol and drug research from sociological perspectives. The job includes teaching and supervision of doctoral students as well as dissemination of research results to the surrounding society. SoRAD is dependent on raising external research funds why it is essential to initiate and participate in the development of new research projects. The tasks can also include overall responsibility for SoRAD's economy, administration and staff.
