Professor of Corporate Finance
(Assistant Professor Non-Tenure Track)
Founded in 1460, the University of Basel is the oldest university in Switzerland. The Faculty of Business and Economics was established in 1995 and is the second youngest of the overall seven faculties at the University of Basel. However, the subject of economics has already been taught for almost 150 years in Basel.
The professorship in corporate finance will join an active research group in the fields of capital market theory, financial management, computational finance, accounting, but also contract theory or quantitative methods. The professorship is for a maximum of five years.
The position involves teaching at the Bachelor's and/or Master's level and contributing to the faculty's doctoral program. The teaching commitment amounts to four hours per week each semester. Teaching can be held in German or English.
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in economics, finance or related areas. Your research focus should be preferably in the field of empirical research related to asset pricing.
