Research Assistants (20-35%)

ETH Zurich is one of the world’s leading universities specialising in science and technology. It is renowned for its excellent education, its cutting-edge fundamental research and its efforts to put new knowledge and innovations directly into practice. The Immigration Policy Lab (part of the Public Policy Group) is looking for research assistants to collect data for a new research project that studies the effects of various measures for the integration of asylum seekers.

Research Assistants (20-35%)

The main tasks will include obtaining documents on issues relating to employment, social welfare and family reunification legislations, documenting policy changes and transferring the relevant information to a database. We offer insights into quantitative social research and the opportunity to get to know integration measures of various countries. You will be integrated into a dedicated research team and employed in accordance with ETH guidelines. Working hours are flexible and can be divided into several weekdays.

We expect you to be fluent in one or preferably several of the following languages: Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Polish, Hungarian, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Estonian. You are currently studying at the Bachelor or Master level at a Swiss university, are independent and reliable and have a precise and structured working style. You are motivated to do in-depth research about employment, social welfare and family reunification legislations. Initial experience in the area of migration or data collection as well as flexibility with regard to working hours are a plus.
