Endowed non-tenure track Professorship in Nanopharmaceuticals Science
The Nanopharmaceuticals and Regulatory Science group within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences ( https://pharma.unibas.ch/de/home/ ) at the University of Basel is looking for a scientist interested in a research and teaching appointment in nanomedicine and regulatory science. The position is an endowed assistant / associate professorship (non-tenure track) initially for 5 years.
Your position
The candidate is expected to
- conduct independent research focused on nanomedicine / formulation / complex drugs, with emphasis on clinical translation.
- actively collaborate with colleagues in academia and industry ('Public-Private-Partnerships') in the fields of preclinical characterization, safety and efficacy evaluation, and regulatory approval of nanomedicines and other complex drugs.
- investigate the critical quality attributes of nanopharmaceuticals and nanosimilars, such as mechanism of action, biocompatibility and scale-up.
- participate in nanomedicine-related committees and working groups, and contribute to graduate level teaching and postgraduate education
Your profile
The candidate is a scientist with an MD or a PhD in natural sciences (such as nanoscience, pharmacology, cell biology, chemistry, or immunology), with at least three years post-graduate experience, and a publication record in a field related to nanomedicine.
