The Cochin Institute is a research center where about 650 scientists, teachers, technicians and students work on different biomedical areas. One of the essential missions of this center is to prepare the students through, and eventually to, research.
The Institute, in complement to PhD Schools, ensures the careful follow-up of doctoral work and provides the PhD students with information about professional carriers open to them. It also tries to improve the knowledge of PhD students in new domains pertaining to concepts and techniques.
In order to accomplish these missions, the Institute has established a PhD Committee (Comité de suivi des Etudes Doctorales, CED)
